Programs
Thrift Shop/Free Clothing
- Has operated for more than 25 years
- Offers pre-owned clothing and household goods at more-than-reasonable prices
- Also provides free clothing in limited quantities
- Welcomes donations
- Free Clothing hours: Mondays, 10am-Noon
- Thrift Shop hours: Mondays, 10am-3pm
Chancel Choir
- Sings each Sunday during church year
- Performs selections ranging from classical composers to finest contemporary titles
- Presents special Easter and Advent performances
- Continues a rich musical tradition under direction of Minister of Music James Giessler
- Rehearses Thursdays, 7:30pm-9pm and Sundays, 10am (September through June)
Christian Women's Fellowship
- Gives Central's women an opportunity to worship, learn and socialize together
- Raises funds annually for Disciples Mission Fund
- Staffs Central's Thrift Shop
- Meets bimonthly during the church year
Food Pantry
- Distributes fresh and nonperishable food items once each month
- Helps the downtown community while providing meaningful volunteer opportunities
- Provides food without asking for identification or proof of need
- Needs donations and volunteers
- Open the last Saturday of each month, 11am-Noon
Youth Ministries
- Offers nursery care for babies and toddlers during worship
- Teaches young children biblical lessons through storytelling in Children, Worship & Wonder
- Helps adolescents acquire a deeper understanding of Christian principles in Young Disciples
- Invites all kids to the front of the sanctuary for a special children's moment during each worship service
Christian Enrichment/Study
- Book Discussion Group: Wednesdays, 6:30-8pm
- Social Issues Discussion Group: First Sunday each Month, 9:30-10:15am
- Bible Study: Sunday, 9:30-10:15am
