While the first Sunday of the month is when Central hosts the regular Taize service in our area, there is another upcoming opportunity on Feb. 14th. Taize service may be a great choice for your family as it is a shorter, simpler service filled with music and scripture.
We are looking for a few youth, aged 5th grade and up, to help prepare the laundry soap that is distributed at Food Pantry monthly. We are targeting a Feb. 11th preparation date. It will take approximately 20 minutes following service. Please let Erin Leraris know if this is a way your child can help. Additionally, families are always welcome to participate at our monthly food pantry on the last Saturday of the month at 10 am. Please let Erin know if you plan on attending so that I can let Jean Brandenberg know.
If you work with children, you may be interested in the presentation I'm giving on Feb. 18 "Becoming a More Trauma-Informed Community." It's a two hour workshop. Lunch will be available. Child care may be offered if there is interest.
