“I biked past this tree in Fountain Square almost every day last summer. One day this sign appeared, like another limb. Is the tree talking? Is it a sign from the artist to a friend? Is it from the reader, to those they love - when they connect with the meaning and one another?”

“This is my parents' home where I grew up. There are many trees there that I love, but the one in the photo is the large tree just outside our front door. My dad also had a Weeping Willow which I'd swing on. There was a grove of trees just to the right of the photo. My dad and grandpa were huge tree lovers and would plant up to ten trees each year. I think of my love of gardening and the earth now as being inherited from the many gardeners, farmers, nature and tree lovers in my family.”

The large evergreen trees in my yard are a sign of hope, especially in the winter because they are always green even on the darkest and coldest of winter days.
~Strev Martz
The magnolia tree in my neighbor's yard is one of the first to bloom in spring. There are several in my neighborhood. They are the first sign of beauty after the cold dark winter.
