How We Are Organized

Program Council

Comprising the officers of the board, pastors, and leaders of eleven ministry teams, the council serves as the program planning leadership for the congregation.

The worship ministry team helps the congregation with all aspects of worship on Sunday mornings and throughout the week, including music, art, communion, baptisms, and funerals.

The spiritual growth ministry team  provides opportunities for spiritual development and faith formation for adults of all   stages of faith including prayer groups, spiritual retreats, Bible studies, new member and visitor orientations, and   the library.

The children and youth ministry team provides programs of Christian education, mission, and fellowship for children and youth.

The hospitality ministry team secures and trains greeters and ushers, and works to integrate new participants into the life of the congregation.

The fellowship ministry team develops fellowship events (fellowship hour, fellowship dinners, dinners of eight, celebrations, etc.) that build fellowship across the life of the congregation.

The witness ministry team helps the congregation reach out in advocacy and compassion to help others from our doorsteps to the ends of the earth. It includes sub-teams focused on ministries of hunger and poverty, inclusion and equity and creation care.

The physical assets ministry team, along with staff, will help make building use decisions, plan for long-term and immediate property and building maintenance and improvement, and encourage and organize volunteers to assist in this effort.

The finance ministry team manages and provides oversight of the congregation’s financial assets. The team is responsible for decisions about accounting, money management and donor records and the development of the annual operating budget.

The engagement and growth ministry team helps participants identify their gifts for the sake of   lay leadership development and recruitment.

The communication ministry team helps the congregation share information effectively, both internally and externally.

The stewardship ministry team provides a year-round program of stewardship education and provides support for the annual stewardship campaign.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees currently consists of 8 members. The trustees act as legal agents of the church for all related matters at the direction of the general board. They are responsible for adequate insurance coverage and management of all permanent funds of the congregation. They provide a year-round program of education in the stewardship of accumulated resources in order to build up the congregation’s endowment and to make other planned gifts to this congregation and to ministries beyond Central Christian. Learn more about the permanent endowment funds.

If you are interested in making a gift to the permanent funds, fill out this form and return it to the church.

THE PATH STORY

WE STAND FOR LIVES CHANGED BY CHRIST

Our Church started with a small group of people who used to congregate in a small living room in Millsboro, DE. Today they're over 500.

They posed inquiries such as, "Imagine a church that prioritizes others." This mindset centered on serving others has not only influenced our identity but also continues to shape us. As we embarked on establishing new branches and reaching various communities across Delaware, our mission has remained unwavering.

Today, Path stands as a single church with multiple sites spread throughout Delaware. Each location offers a consistent, cohesive experience with music and a shared message delivered by a communicator that is broadcasted to every site.

What we believe

We believe that church isn't just about a building with a cross. It's about people's relationship with God and each other.

OUR CORE VALUES

FAITH. COMMUNITY.

Path Church is a community of diverse people from all walks of life, who have decided to give Jesus the ultimate power and trust. This means we believe He will help us do what we can’t -forgive, transform, give back and nurture. We invite you to explore any of our recorded services (or stop by to see in person) to see Path's values and approach for yourself.

OUR CORE VALUES

LIVING LIFE INDIVIDUALLY,

TOGETHER

Men and women everywhere are born to live together, not alone. As a closed-knit church, we believe we can all walk along our individual paths, together. With a strong shared sense of His love, each member of the Path community can find a way to live a wholesome life of faith while sharing the struggles, happy moments and wishes with other members of the church.

OUR CORE VALUES

MAKE OUR WORLD BETTER

At Path church we see it as an imperative to consider the environment He has created for us. It is our duty to keep Earth clean and sustainable for the next generations. To make this happen, we take actions in addition to prayer. Find out how you can join the Better Earth group of the church, and volunteer in parks and beaches in our area.
